Fun for all the family as Village Fete returns to Dickens Heath

Saturday July 5th will see the return of the Dickens Heath Village Centre Fete with activities for the whole family taking place between 1pm and 5pm.

The village fete is now in its third year and continues to be a hit with the local community, with over four thousand people attending last year’s fun day. The Fete will encompass all the best of family friendly entertainment with a Punch and Judy show, magic and balloon modelling, and hands-on kids workshops. There will be traditional fairground attractions including Hoop La and a Shooting Range. The popular Bucking Bronco also returns, with a chance for visitors to test their abilities to stay on this beast for as long as possible!

A highlight of the event is the Land Train that connects Market Square to the Waterside luxury apartment, office and retail development. This year’s train is able to accommodate more people, enabling children and adults the chance to be transported around the village in style!

A selection of food and drink will also be available on the day from freshly prepared burgers and hot dogs, to a selection of ice creams.

Ian Williams, Estate Manager for Dickens Heath Village Centre, said. “The village fete has been a tremendous success in the last two years. It brings the community together and enables the whole family to have a day of fun regardless of whether you are a village resident or from further afield. We’re looking forward to another successful day.”

Dickens Heath Village Centre features an excellent range of independent shops offering everyday essentials through to designer fashion, exclusive restaurants and community facilities including a library, village hall, medical centre, village green, and children’s play area. Hair and beauty, optician, dental, pharmacy and dry cleaning services, along with a specialist party supplies store are all located in the Village Centre, in addition to the convenience of a Tesco Express.

The Dickens Heath Village Centre Fete takes place on Saturday July 5th 1-5pm.
